Asst.Prof.Dr.Arm Unartngam is currently Associate Dean for Research, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
His research interests and expertise are floating weeds management and biological control using natural products especially for water hyacinth. He received numerous outstanding awards, eg. WIPA Special Award and Gold Medal from 2022 Shanghai International Convention and Innovation Exhibition in the title of KPS: Selective bioherbicide to control water hyacinth in Thailand. The efficiency of of selective bioherbicide (Paramyrothecium strain TBRC10637) to control the proliferation and outbreak of water hyacinth has been applied in several natural water resources in Thailand. It could be applied with others method, and could sustainability reduce the water hyacinth biomass in water resource.
